If you come to El Vilosell you will find...

A small town of less than 200 habitants, located at 45 kilometers from Lleida. It has a lot of charm and still keeps its cobbled streets and buildings with exposed stone.

It is a walled town on a hill that transmits the history of one of the most authentic and genuine places of the region of Les Garrigues.

Apart from taking a walk around the old streets, you can also visit the baroque Santa Maria’s church and the Sant Sebastian Chapel and admire the mountain landscape of La Llena from both of the town viewpoints.

Activities and turism attractions

  • Activities: Hiking, mountain biking and climbing.
  • Visiting Tomàs Cusiné Wine Cellar. In addition, you can visit the Tomàs Cusiné Wine Cellar and know how wine is produced. You will be guided through all the process inside the installations. The visit ends with a wine tasting and you will have the possibility of buying them, together with other region products, at the cellar Shop.
  • Visiting the Cérvoles Wine Cellar. Located in Pobla de Cérvoles, at a distance of 5 kilometers, has to be arranged from the Tomàs Cusiné Wine Cellar.
  • Dry Stone Huts. This route is a tour through the various dry stone huts built and distributed over the lands. These huts are part of the architecture of the region of Les Garrigues. They were used by farmers to protect themselves and their animals from inclement weather when they were out in the fields. These huts were built with stones without bonding material, with arched ceiling covered with earth. They are of rectangular shape with only one room.
  • Cister Route. Monasteries of Poblet, Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges.
  • Proximity Product. Wine, arbequina virgin olive oil, cheese, almonds, honey.
  • Autumn. Grape harvest, and mushroom picking.
  • Sunday in the month of October. Race within the Tomàs Cusiné vineyards (two races: running and walking) of the wine Circuit, in solidarity with the Catalan Foundation for Lupus.
